Aerith awoke to the smell of breakfast being cooked. Stumbling through her morning routine, the last Cetra moved robotically until she finally managed to wake herself up enough to greet the rest of the world.
Her first surprise of the day as she left her bedroom, however, was to see her step-mother coming out of her own room. Elmyra, too, seemed to be surprised to see Aerith. For a minute, the two Gainsborough women stared at each other with questioning looks, confused as to who would be cooking the morning meal.
Suddenly, the young Cetra remembered the strange woman from yesterday- Grace Lunaria, also known as Katlyn Lune. Quickly walking towards the kitchen with Elmyra close behind, the two paused when they suddenly heard music. It was very dramatic-sounding, uplifting yet with a sad tone. As suddenly the music quieted, Aerith and her step-mother peeked into the kitchen.
“Home is behind, the world ahead/ And there are many paths to tread,<

Don't freak out don't freak out don't freak out
Taking heed to the panicked mantra continually played in her head, Katlyn schooled her face to show only curiosity rather than the dread she felt at the Turks potentially already finding her out as she asked, "Yes?"
As the future leader of the Turks adjusted the cuffs of his sleeves, Tseng responded, "May I have a moment of your time? I just want to ask a few questions."
THAT doesn't sound good. "Sure, I guess. What did you want to know?" Katlyn replied, shrugging her shoulders. She once again sent a word of thanks to Minerva's assistants for forcing her to go through all those acting lessons, including the ones on how to lie. Otherwise, she knew she would've been totally screwed, and not in a good way.
"Have you listened to the radio lately?"
Well, she could thankfully answer this one honestly "Not really. I mean, I've heard a glimpse of it on my

"We should get going, hop on."
She looked at my motorcycle with curiosity and gasped, "Wow, your motorcycle is so nice!" She walks to my vehicle and touched the shiny cool metal with her fingertips. I felt happy on the inside. "My brother had one himself. I remembered how he used to give me rides. It was fun." Brother? She used to have a brother? What did she mean when she said 'used to'? Now I was more curious about this girl. I want to know more about her background, about her brother. I did remember thinking how Crystal looked very familiar. Maybe her brother has something to do with her familiarity. Perhaps I might have met her or brother. But I wasn't sure yet. It was just a thought anyway. Maybe I could ask her about her brother during our date.
Crystal looked at me smiling with her hand still touching the metal of my motorcycle. "Come on Cloud! I want to feel the wind!" There was excitement in her eyes which made me chuc

The Heir of Jenova and the Champion of Minerva stared at each other, oblivious to the once-again chaotic lab surrounding them.
"Katlyn," Sephiroth murmured, "so this is what you meant when you mentioned that we'd be seeing each other soon."
Smirking, Katlyn responded just as quietly, "Actually, Sephiroth, this wasn't quite what I had planned " Before she had a chance to elaborate, however, at that moment the two other First Classes rushed into the room. They both stopped dead at the sight of her and Sephiroth locking blades.
"By the Goddess " Genesis breathed, amazed to see that the mako-encased woman was indeed none other than the infamous Katlyn Lune who somehow looked like she was wearing the Goddess' own armor. Angeal was too stunned to say anything, his mouth simply hanging open in a way that was usually only seen whenever Zack did something that was beyond the means of an ordinary man's comprehension (like the time he had pr

“Have you really met ghosts?” asked Daryl skeptically.
Turning his head towards the boy, Sora nodded, “Of course! There was Zero...”
“Zero? What kind of name is that for a ghost?”
Smirking at the fond memories as he faced the front of the train once more, Sora replied, “The ghost of a dog.”
His face showing his curiosity, Daryl inquired, “Then whose dog was he?”
Before Sora could answer, however, a light reappeared where the bum had vanished into the snow. “Heeey! Are you two still there?” came the bum’s voice.
“Yeah, we’re still here!” Sora shouted back, waving his right arm.
As the light grew closer, the two boys noticed that it was moving rather oddly. A couple of seconds later, it was apparent as to why- the bum had somehow acquired a pair of skis and was trudging through the snow with them already attached

Murtagh narrowed his eyes slightly, skeptical that the girl in front of him would have any information that he would need. "Information about what?" he inquired.
The girl who had introduced herself as Heavyn replied, "You tell me any information that you can give to me about Galbatorix and his plans, and I'll tell you of one way that I know of to change your true name somewhat quickly, thus freeing you from that monster. Interested?"
"You're bluffing. How can you have any knowledge of how to escape Galbatorix?" the enslaved Rider challenged. "For that matter, if you are from another world as you've implied, why should you even care about what happens to anyone on AlagaŽsia, anyway?!?"
"A valid question, and one easily explained," Heavyn replied. "You see, my world has the ability to record the stories of other worlds, and the tale of AlagaŽsia is one of those stories. Normally, residents of my world are unable to travel outside of its borders.

As the Polar Express made its way towards the lucky children who would be given the incredible honor of riding the magical train, the conductor (who told the Keyblade Wielders that they could call him Chris) explained what he wanted the four to do- apparently, Santa had been worried for the children's safety thanks to the Unversed and Heartless running free across the worlds, and requested that the Keyblade Wielders take up certain posts on the train in order to ensure that no harm came to them (to which they agreed, Heavyn more eagerly than the others).
Kairi had chosen to monitor the back of the train including the caboose, Riku had insisted on guarding the engine (according to Sora, who had clued Heavyn in via the X-blade's connection, Riku had been obsessed with trains when the two of them had been very young), Sora wanted to wander about the passenger cars, and Heavyn was left with accompanying Chris all around his duties, including picking up the lucky children who were gi

Four Keyblade Wielders were flying through the space separating each of the many worlds out there in the universe, commonly known as the Lanes Between. While ordinarily this would be nothing of note (beyond the fact that they were Keyblade Wielders)Ö each of these four was very special in their own way.
The male wearing red, silver, and gold armor was known as Sora, a rather happy-go-lucky fellow. Whenever his armor was off, he could be instantly identified by his spiky brown hair and his blue eyes. He was special not only for saving the worlds at least twice, but unbeknownst to him he had at least three others sleeping within his heart (although one was starting to stirÖ but that's a story for another time). His Keyblade was known as the Kingdom Key, and when it was in glider form he rode it similar to how people ride skateboards.
The female wearing pink, gold, and silver armor was called Kairi, a blue-eyed red-head who was kind to almost everyone she met (excl
